Well i’ve packed everything into two bags that are busting. My side of the dorm looks extremely empty. It’s going to be so weird going home for 5 weeks, this place is home now. The last couple of days have been fun though. On thrusday night i went out for my friend Liz’s birthday then last night my room-mate and some other girls went out to see the winter music/dance show and then to dinner. I’m going to miss my dance section a lot since i spend all my time with them here. Here are some picture of my dance section (section 3!) from the last week of our first semester of college!!!! WHOA that’s so crazy….!

Florida girl has had her first snow day!!! I was so excited it was snowing all day today! It was my first time out in the snow so i was super excited. My friends from the south and i kept making snow balls and throwing them random places.

Tonight i had so many people in my room all writing finals for different classes…. AH! if i have to write one more paper… i can’t tell if my papers are good or not anymore. I’m tired of reading my friends papers….. i need a break! Everyone is brunt out now i’ve had finals all week long so my body is tired, and sore. and all these papers are killing me! It’s almost over. I leave on sat. for florida and a nice break! cannot wait but i know i’ll miss philadelphia and uarts cause now this has become my second home. I’ve even started to pack and packing for home for such a long time is hard. My suitcase is busting and i still have lots to put in!

Right now i need sleep and to proof read this paper one more time….

This is my last week here at UArts until January!! I can’t believe it my first semester of college is almost over. I just got back from Thanksgiving break and hardly unpacked but i’m leaving again! As a dance major i don’t have juries my first semester that’s why i get to go home a week earlier, which i am very thankful for!

Finals are going to be crazy this week, i’m so scared! In each dance class the teacher has given us a set combination that we are graded on. Tonight i went into a dance studio with some of my class mates and went over everything. I’m just worried cause you never know what the teachers are going to throw at you last min. I’m just hoping that my knee will hold up this week.

It’s also gotten soooo cold here another reason i cannot wait to go back to Florida. Today i woke up and it as snowing… sorta. i guess it’s called freezing rain but it was really awesome to see, i just hate being out in the cold. It’s 30 degrees here and it’s 75 where i live…. i’m ready for Florida and the beach!

These Pictures are of one of the UArts buildings where most of the dance rooms are. There are all these lights up now that look amazing. Every 1/2 hour there’s a light show.

so i just got over being sick for about 3 weeks which was awful and now my knee is swollen! There’s a physical trainer in the dance department so i had her look at my knee. it’s in all sorts of bad shape and really swollen and not to mention it hurts! i had to sit out of classes today and take notes which was so painful. I hate just sitting and watching everyone in class. I did though registrar for classes today i’m super happy with my electives, private voice, modern partnering, and pointe! i was able to get in all the classes that i wanted too which i was very happy about! Thanksgiving break is sooo close only a week away i just have to survive this week and then i get a break!!!

Halloween and Home

Last weekend was sooo crazy. First of all it was Halloween week which just meant a lot of fun! i also had to fly home for a funeral so booking a flight and packing and all of that was very complicated. On Halloween day some of us dressed up for a dance classes it was a lot of fun! Dance classes have gotten intense, just when i think i’m doing well i find myself upset cause something isn’t working. We have started the registration process for next semester - we don’t actually register until this sunday. I think for electives i want to take privet voice, pointe and hip-hop hopefully that’ll work out!

I can’t believe that it’s almost Thanksgiving and then winter break! The time has gone by wayyyy too fast. I have two weeks then i’m on a plane home for Thanksgiving another two weeks here and then home for Winter Break. I was so thankful that i could go home for a little bit last weekend but i missed everyone up here as well. On Fri. morning i woke up and realized that i had no idea how i was going to get to the airport! i looked on line really quickly and figured out that i could walk to the train station and it would take me to my terminal, and it was only $6!! Taking a cab to the air port can be kinda expensive. I was lucky this time i didn’t have a lot of stuff so it was fine walking through the city. I did find out about a bus service though that’s only $10 that doesn’t require any walking at all!

I’m so excited for the holidays but i have a ton of stuff to do i feel! i know this weekend i’ll be locked in my room writing two essays that are due next week ahh!
