The end is finally here, and it’s cookie time!

<

Well, the semester ended much better than expected.  The whole semester ended very well with lots of things and  sculpture ideas to ponder for the next semester and year.  To celebrate the end of semester and the coming holiday, we decided to get together to watch christmas movies (the classic “scrooged,” and some other holiday favorites) as well as bake lots of cookies.  We went a little over board with nine dozen sugar cookies, but we were actually able to bring some home.  However, as talented as we claim to be , im afraid that these skills were not as obvious as we might have hoped.  :)

what better way to celebrate christmas, than to order chinese take-out.   p1000748.JPG

April and i, keeping with our tradition from freshman year, went to Macy’s and experienced their light show, ventured through the Charles Dickens Story Land, and had our picture taken with Santa, i think Santa enjoyed this more than we.  :)  Here are some pictures of the light show and their pipe organ.  I wish everyone an awesome break.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  Best part about college, we have over a month off!

Grounds for Sculpture

<

p1000555.jpgp1000553.jpgp1000556.jpgSo, last week the junior and senior sculpture majors were given the opportunity to go on a field trip to “Grounds for Sculpture.” Its in NJ, and its really awesome! Basically its a park with hundreds of sculptures all around in the yard. There are small paths all around that bring you through and around these awesome sculptures, amazing trees and a huge lake.

There was even a sculpture by George Segal and one by Barry Parker (one of the teachers in the sculpture department)! I’m definitely going to go again, theres so much to see. here are some pictures of the trees and some of the sculptures.
